Black Security Products is a manufacturer of crash-rated anti-vehicle barriers and high-security fencing, headquartered in Houston, Texas and supplying projects across the United States. Since 2014 we have built one thing: perimeter security that stops a moving vehicle and can prove it with a full-scale crash test report.
Most of the market will sell a barrier backed by an engineering analysis. We do not offer a calculation in place of a test. Every rating we print traces to a physical crash at an independent, accredited laboratory, and where it applies, to a listing on the DoD Anti-Ram Vehicle Barrier List.
We build across three families. Passive vehicle barriers hold a fixed line. Active vehicle barriers control an opening that still has to work every day. Security fencing carries the perimeter between them, and our passive cable barrier integrates behind SecurePale™ palisade and SecureMesh™ welded mesh, so one fence line stops the climber and the 15,000 lb truck.
That means a perimeter comes from one manufacturer, with one interface detail and one warranty, rather than a coordination problem between vendors.
A patent-pending post wrap needs no welding in manufacture or on site, no corner posts at a change of direction, and one post-and-foundation size across every crash post on the job.

BSP tests the full range, M30 and M50 at both P1 and P2, at independent accredited laboratories. An engineering analysis is not a crash test, and we do not offer one in its place.

What is a perimeter fence?
A perimeter fence is the boundary line that defines a site and controls who crosses it. On a commercial or federal site it does more than mark the property: it delays a climber or a cutter long enough for someone to respond, and it carries the cameras, sensors and signage the rest of the security plan depends on. What is the difference between perimeter security fencing and a vehicle barrier?
Fencing is rated against a person: climbing, cutting, and how long it takes to get through. A vehicle barrier is rated against a moving truck under ASTM F2656, and it is measured by how far that truck travels past the barrier line. Most secure sites need both, which is why BSP builds security fencing and passive and active vehicle barriers as one system rather than as separate purchases.
What do M30 and M50 mean?
They are ASTM F2656 vehicle impact designations. Both use the same 15,000 lb medium duty truck. M30 is an impact at 30 mph and M50 is an impact at 50 mph. The designation describes a test the barrier survived, not a calculation, which is why BSP publishes the report behind every rating it prints.
What is the difference between a P1 and a P2 rating?
The P rating measures how far the vehicle penetrated past the barrier. P1 is one meter or less, roughly 3.3 ft. P2 runs from one meter to seven meters, roughly 3.3 to 23 ft. A tight standoff usually calls for P1. BSP tests at both, across M30 and M50, and the labs and reports are laid out on the Standards and Testing page.
Is a crash rating the same as an engineering analysis?
No, and the difference shows up at submittal. An engineering analysis is a calculation predicting how a barrier should perform. A crash rating comes from driving a loaded truck into a physical barrier at an accredited laboratory and measuring what actually happened. BSP does not offer a calculation in place of a test.
Does Black Security Products manufacture or install?
BSP manufactures. We design and build in the United States and supply through fencing distributors, general contractors and specialty installers. Because the systems are modular and need no field welding, a qualified site crew can set them without adding a specialty trade to the schedule.
Can security fencing and vehicle barriers come from one manufacturer?
