BSP designed and developed a top rated portable vehicle barrier which is completely modular in nature that can prevent vehicle ramming and pedestrian borne attacks, while helping protect people and property (on the protected side of the system) from lasers and projectiles that are commonly used to inflict bodily harm and property damage during domestic terrorism. The proprietary and innovative designs behind BSP’s Modular Portable Protective Device (MPPD) systems come from a long history in the Vehicle Barrier and Security Industry.
MPPD specifications: Vehicle Borne Threat Protection Element
The MPPD system’s primary characteristic is the vehicle borne threat protection element. The MPPD system has been tested and certified to ASTM level M50 and M30 and is Department of Defense approved. With over a dozen ASTM real life crash tests performed, BSP was able to glean valuable information from our past while innovating and designing the MPPD system.
This is truly a one-of-a-kind vehicle barrier system that is unlike any other on the market. The BSP MPPD system can stop a 15,000 lbs. vehicle traveling at speeds from 30mph to 50mph within 1-7 meters. No other portable anti-ram barrier options on the market offer this range of crash test certification or capabilities.
